Two Brothers, Two Ways to Style Living Room Decor
Drew and Jonathan give their takes on how to bring a Pittsburgh family’s living room decor from blah to brilliant in Drew + Jonathan Reveal magazine.
Stumped on how to lay out their large living room, the Pittsburgh-based Gingo family needed some help. “We’ve had trouble arranging our furniture in a way that makes sense for conversation and walkability,” says mom Leslie. The room had so much potential and good bones (those windows!), but they needed a little help making the space functional and elevating the design.

To start, Jonathan enlisted the help of a textured wallpaper from Scott Living to unify the living room’s design. “Since the room is quite large, I wanted to add the grasscloth, which helps make it feel like a more intimate setting,” he says.
Next, he chose furniture in varying wood finishes that work well with the wallpaper to create depth and interest. To provide extra seating for guests when entertaining, Jonathan added a pair of side chairs and ottomans, and a roomy sectional is the perfect place to lounge after a long day.

Drew’s Home Interior Design
“For this design, I chose a lot of high-contrast finishes in neutrals, so there’s plenty of visual interest without going over the top,” Drew says. “The Scott Living dark display cabinets help draw your eye toward the fireplace as a focal point in the room,” he says.
Rich green window treatments and throw pillows add pops of color, while sleek marble and metallic details throughout the room up the sophistication. Plenty of greenery adds warmth, and textured knits make the home’s interior design feel extra cozy.
