As contemporary designers make huge strides in home design, breaking boundaries and bending outdated “rules,” it’s exciting to watch as a new era of innovative design emerges. Style trends are constantly changing, but one thing is unmistakable: There’s an overarching shift toward interiors that feel lived-in and inviting. Folks are leaning more toward a home that looks interesting and complements their individual personality, but is also approachable and welcoming.

2. Heidi Caillier (@heidicaillierdesign)

Heidi Caillier doesn’t stick to one particular design aesthetic. In fact, Caillier says her projects “arenā€™t bound by a singular set of aesthetic codes, but are underpinned by a sense of feeling and intimacy.” She also draws inspiration from elements of nostalgia, authenticity, and individual eclecticism. But there’s an understated traditional aspect to each of her bold interiors, be it a timeless pattern in a wallpaper, or highlighting natural materials. Hong Kong-based interior designer Joyce Wang of Joyce Wang Studio specializes in luxury residential and hospitality interiors.
