No, you’re not dreaming! New episodes of Don’t Hate Your House with the Property Brothers are coming to your TV screens soon—and just in time for your winter break. The first of eight new episodes of Don’t Hate Your House will premiere Monday, December 29 at 8:00 pm ET/PT on HGTV. Think of it as a holiday gift from Drew and Jonathan!

Sometimes, moving just isn’t an option. So instead of chucking it and starting all over again with a new place, Drew and Jonathan are helping families fine-tune their homes to fit their needs—rather than the other way around. Whether it’s families who have outgrown their spaces; couples who have all but given up hope on making their home fit their style; or bad design that has left folks frustrated for years, the Bros are coming in to relieve their woes, and turn their troublesome spaces into dream homes.

When does Don’t Hate Your House premiere?

The first new episode of Don’t Hate Your House with the Property Brothers will premiere on Monday, December 29 at 8:00 pm ET/PT. The show will air on HGTV, as well as MAX and discovery+. Each of the eight new episodes will air at the same time every Monday.

What can we look forward to in the new episodes?

The Bros will help families renovate their houses, transforming spaces that seem completely unfixable into shockingly gorgeous (and finally functional) homes. Sometimes, moving just isn’t an option… No matter how much your place is stressing you out. So, Drew and Jonathan are coming in to help fix problematic homes for frustrated families who are nearly ready to call it quits.

“We get the frustration because oftentimes the original layout found in older houses doesn’t make the best use of the space,” Jonathan says. “Drew and I know we can make these homes so much better.”

What is Don’t Hate Your House about?

The eight-episode run will follow Drew and Jonathan as they meet with their clients to discuss what’s upsetting them most about their homes. From there, they’ll come up with a plan to tackle these issues and craft a new space to address their clients’ needs and wants. With a range of budgets, design preferences, and structural issues to fix, in each episode the Bros will be tearing down walls, reconfiguring kitchens, rebuilding unsafe problem areas, and a whole lot more.

“We see the potential when we walk in and find boxy layouts and isolated spaces,” Drew says. “Transforming a home to truly suit a family’s needs will create a better environment and happier home life for everyone.”

Of course, a home is still a home, no matter how bad the build. Along the way, Drew and Jonathan will also help families through the emotional process, providing encouragement as they help renovate spaces that might hold a soft space in their heart, carry family memories, or hold sentimental value.

A Sneak Peek at the First Episode

The premiere episode will follow Warren and Tricia, a couple with a poorly renovated house that’s neither safe nor functional for their family. Their cramped layout has been bothering them for too long. With a narrow galley kitchen that’s tough to work in, a front door that hits right into their dining table, and a ton of surprise structural issues, this home has become a burden.

The Bros certainly have their work cut out for them, but with some elbow grease, functional fixes, and a ton of creative planning to restructure the home, they’re able to give Warren and Tricia a place that finally feels like home. After they’ve worked their magic, the family will have a brand-new kitchen with a large island and plenty of storage, a coffee bar and dining room with space to spare, and even an outdoor living space perfect for entertaining.

Until the new episodes premiere, you can catch up on the last batch of episodes, and all of the Bros’ other shows on MAX and discovery+. Get inspired by our recaps for Backed By The BrosProperty Brothers: Forever HomeBrother vs. Brother, and Celebrity IOU, too.
