DedCool Liquid Laundry Detergent 01 Taunt

Amazon

$35.00

I recently put a batch of laundry detergents to the test to review how well they clean clothes, remove stains, and smell overall (and how long the scent sticks around). You want the Goldilocks of laundry detergents? It’s this one by DedCool. The 01 Taunt scent is divine, lasts long but is faint enough that it isn’t aggressive, and leaves clothes feeling clean and cozy. It’s now become a staple in my house. –Bree O’Hagan, Sr. Digital Editor

02

BISSELL Little Green Portable Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner

Amazon

$123.59

It’s no secret that I’m the world’s biggest fan of the Bissell Little Green Machine. I live in a small space with a dog who sheds a lot, and this keeps my couch and rugs from turning into a muddy, fur-ridden mess. Plus, the formula leaves my furniture smelling amazing. Tineco iFloor 3 Cordless Floor Washer

Walmart

$199.99

I wrote a review on this vacuum mop a couple years ago after putting it up to the test against two other highly rated vacuum mops, and I still stand by my choice now: The Tineco vacuum mop is the best of the best. It gets my floors to a state of clean I didn’t know they could be—in a grossly satisfying way. –Bree

04

Bona Hardwood Floor Premium Spray Mop

Amazon

$41.97

When it comes to spray mops, I’ve usually gone for a Swiffer WetJet. But when my husband turned me onto Bona, it was like a whole new type of clean. We have a long-haired cat at home, and with all her fur flying around (and our own!), we used to run through Swiffer pads like crazy. With Bona’s reusable mopping pads, those days are gone. All I have to do is wipe down the floors (the Bona pads are great at locking in dirt and grime), and throw the mopping pads right into the wash to use again and again. Bonus: I also like the Bona floor cleaner a lot better than Swiffer’s. –Bree

05

Lucy’s Natural Distilled White Vinegar

Amazon

$16.99

When my dog was sprayed by a skunk, plain white vinegar was my home’s only chance at ever smelling normal again. A simple mixture with water works best for soaking smelly clothes; maximizing the power of clothes and dish soap; cleaning any and all kitchen tools (just make sure the formula you buy is food safe!); and spraying soft and hard surfaces like walls and pillows. Now, it’s my go-to product for every type of cleaning job. —McKenzie Pendergrass, Social Media Editor

Wettex Swedish Dishcloths, 10-Pack

Amazon

$9.49

We switched to these dish cloths last year and have never looked back. They are more convenient than sponges because they can be hung easily over the faucet to save counter space and reduce clutter. They’re also very absorbent for things like spills (and more sustainable than using paper towels), yet dry out quickly and aren’t as prone to becoming bacteria-laden and smelly. We also love the durability factor since they can be machine washed and reused umpteen times. —Barb Dybwad, Sr. Director, Strategy and Operations
