Property Brothers: Forever Home – Season 7, Episode 5
Reno Around the Corner: Emily and Adhir
Emily and Adhir landed a historic home in the LA neighborhood of their dreams, only to discover the Spanish Revival-style house was in worse shape than they thought. Luckily, Drew lives right down the street, so we were able to put that local expertise to work.
We reimagined their living room, dining room, and kitchen and styled everything with a modern twist on the traditional California Spanish design. Now, their home is the perfect place for Emily and Adhir to raise their young daughter.

The Best of Times
Emily and Adhir really wanted to honor the history of their home while still updating it a bit to fit modern standards. For the living room, we focused on recreating new, beautiful features that looked as if they could have come from the 1920s, such as the Spanish-style fireplace and white oak floors.
Since they had acquired so much space, we decided to go all out on making the dining room a formal area where they could host guests. The textured cloth wallpaper is a stunning feature that all visitors will love to admire.
While the original kitchen was spacious, it was too industrial for a family wanting to kick back and relax. We did a first and installed a smaller kitchen island to make room for the breakfast nook of Emily’s dreams.
