Courteney Cox Gifts a Dreamy New Kitchen to Marisa

Courteney Cox has something special up her sleeve when she joins forces with Drew and Jonathan on Celebrity IOU this week. She’s gifting her cherished friend Marisa with a brand-new first floor renovation, complete with everything she’s been dreaming of in her cooking space and living area. The two met originally in 2020 when Courteney hired her as her dog-walker, but she turned into a very close person in Courteney’s life. They’ve been through so much together—sharing tons of laughs, silly pranks, and memories—and Courteney wants Marisa to know how much she’s loved.

“Something about Marisa—she has swagger, she’s just cool. She cares about everybody… She’s just a real giver, and so that’s why I really wanted to do this,” the Friends star says.

Courteney wants to make sure the new space feels calm and serene—a place where Marisa will feel at ease cooking and hosting guests with her wife Annie. Marisa and Annie already have one toddler, June, and with another on the way, they’re in serious need of a more functional space. Marisa loves to cook, but the current kitchen layout makes it impossible to enjoy. Nothing is convenient, there’s hardly any storage, and it’s pretty much a zone of chaos. Plus, since Marisa also boards dogs, there’s a bunch of paws running around the house, too. Which makes it even more difficult to navigate!

When Marisa found out what Courteney had planned, she was completely stunned and entirely grateful. “My life has changed so much from meeting you—you’ve given so much to me, and not just physical things. Just being there for me, and just making me realize my worth… Doing this for me, you’re changing my life, and I don’t even know what I did to deserve any of this,” Marisa says.

Finally Functional

Courteney actually took some inspiration for the kitchen redesign from her very own kitchen (which Marisa loves!). Designer oak hardwood floors replaced the cold, outdated tile, while complementing cabinetry, a built-in island, and a modern dining nook took the space to the next level.

Upgraded Finishes

Finishes before were mismatched and outdated, which is part of the reason why Marisa felt so uninspired. Now, the kitchen’s cozy, modern look completely changes the vibe. Cooking can finally be fun again!

Modern Paneled Appliances

Storage options before were choppy and the layout wasn’t sensical. Expanding the counters to the edge of the room and closing off the doorway turned out to be the best idea for the flow. With upgraded finishes, (including chic, paneled appliances) and space for a cute coffee station, the kitchen finally feels complete.

Cozy, Chic, and Organized

Drew and Jonathan were able to open up the back room to create a space for the kids to have a play area, perfectly placed in a spot that’s still in sight but where their toys don’t have to be scattered all over the living room. Now, June and her new baby sibling will have a place all their own with plenty of storage for all their favorite stuffies and toys.
