Drew and Jonathan have some exciting news to share! The brothers have partnered with Chartwells, Canada’s largest educational food provider, to distribute their latest book, Builder Brothers: Better Together, to elementary schools across Canada.
Chartwells nourishes children everyday by serving healthy meals to students at more than 550 K-12 schools all over Canada, but they wanted to help nourish the whole student—mind, body, and soul—which is why they called Drew and Jonathan. Through this partnership, which is part of Chartwells’ Thinking Ahead Giving Back platform, students will be encouraged to “borrow a book,” take it home to read with their caregivers, and participate in the interactive mini-racecar building exercise included at the end of the story. Chartwells will then track the number of hours children spend reading as part of a wider campaign promoting youth literacy across Canada.
“We’ve been passionate about reading and storytelling throughout our entire lives. Kids benefit so much from spending time reading aloud with their parents, teachers, and caregivers,” says Jonathan. “The practice builds curiosity, memory, and motivation, and shows kids that anything is possible.”
“Chartwells is incredibly committed to enriching the communities they serve, and we are excited to collaborate with them to launch this program that supports such a big push for literacy,” adds Drew. “Together, we hope to promote the joy of reading and inspire kids to dream big.”
