Illuminated Starry Night Glass Pumpkins by Valerie, Set of 2

Most lit pumpkins glow. These do something better — they throw stars.

This QVC set from Valerie Parr Hill pairs one medium and one large glass pumpkin, each wrapped around a twinkling micro-light strand. The light escapes through an etched Starry Night pattern, so the pumpkins don’t just illuminate — they cast small points of light across whatever they’re sitting on. A matte outer finish over a reflective inner coating is what gives them that depth when they’re lit, and keeps them looking like art glass when they’re not.

The practical details hold up, too. A built-in timer runs six hours on, 18 hours off, so they switch themselves on each evening without you thinking about it, and they run on three AA batteries — no cords snaking across a console table. The larger pumpkin stands 9.5 inches tall and the medium 7.5 inches, which is mantel and centerpiece scale rather than porch scale. Both are made for indoor display.

At $54.98 for the pair, they’re the fall piece you’ll want out well before October.
