Simple & Delicious Nutella Pancakes

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! So it’s extra important to have something easy and delicious on hand to get the morning off on the right start. That’s where these simple banana and Nutella pancakes come in.

This recipe only calls for bananas, eggs, optional baking powder, and, you guessed it, Nutella to make a breakfast that the whole family will gobble up. With so few ingredients, this recipe also requires minimal cleanup afterward, perfect for when you have a busy day planned.

This is a great recipe to make with the kids. Maybe then they’ll even surprise you with it for Mother’s Day breakfast. That would be a treat!

We’re Here for the Nutella

The Nutella weaves in and out of the pancakes in a web-like shape as you cook them. This means you get that dreamy Nutella flavor in every bite while still producing the perfect aesthetically pleasing pancake (for your morning Instagram post, of course).

Trying to cook with Nutella can be, well, messy. So instead of trying to freeze the Nutella for these filled pancakes or substitute the butter in the pan for it (extra messy), layer it in-between the layers of batter.

These Pancakes Are Bananas

This recipe calls for bananas instead of your standard pancake batter. Bananas and Nutella were made for each other, so it just makes sense. Not only are bananas a great source of potassium, they make a great batter as well.

Top It Off

This is our favorite part—the toppings! While our recipe calls for whipped cream, fresh fruit, and syrup, you can get creative here.

For the fresh fruit, we love to top off these Nutella pancakes with strawberries. However, blueberries, raspberries, and even more bananas work great as well. Whipped cream is always a good idea, but you can opt for a non-dairy option for the same effect. Or add more fruit to the mix with strawberry jam or a fruit syrup instead of maple.

Love at First Bite

We really dig these pancakes, and we’re definitely big advocates of the Nutella craze that never seems to end. That’s probably because we keep finding amazing new ways to work it into our meals! These pancakes filled with Nutella simply melt in your mouth.

For really hectic days when you don’t have time to make pancakes, you can opt for a quick and nourishing breakfast smoothie. Or, if you need a break from Nutella, these hearty breakfast bread bowls will keep you full until lunch.

Now, let’s dig in for a sweet surprise.
