Property Brothers: Forever Home – Season 7, Episode 11
The Right Note: Bruce & Larry
Bruce and Larry bought their LA house 11 years ago. They got married in the home and adopted their son, Josue, while living there. This musical family had many cherished memories there, but the layout was so choppy, they didn’t even invite guests over!

We opened the floor plan to create a beautiful space to cook, entertain, and enjoy their friends and family for decades to come.

Design Highlights

Family and Food
Larry loves to cook, but their original kitchen was so small, it was hard for Bruce or Josue to join him without getting in the way. We expanded the kitchen out to the front of the house and then installed a large kitchen island, so now there is plenty of room to meal prep and chat.

Walk in to Luxury
Back when Josue was first adopted, this bathroom fit him fine. But tall people like us could barely squeeze in. So we expanded it and installed a walk-in shower decorated with artisanal green tiles.

Bright and Beautiful
While Bruce loves all things comfy and cozy, Larry would prefer to style their home like an art museum. To bridge these two differing preferences, we included a lot of whites and wood tones in the living room. This way, the space is bright and clean without feeling too cold or clinical.
