Comedian, actress, and writer Ali Wong teamed up with us to surprise her college friend, Citadelle, with a life-altering home renovation. Citadelle is a busy working mom who opens her home to everyone, but her lackluster basement needed a stylish and functional facelift. Ali helped us transform the tired space into the entertaining heart of her home. We also created a backyard oasis with a fireplace and outdoor kitchen for Citadelle’s entire family to enjoy.

GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN

Before, Citadelle’s family room was cramped because it had to double as a workspace as well. Once we gave Citadelle a proper office, we now had plenty of space to place a comfortable couch and even install a dry bar for Citadelle to enjoy on girls’ nights.

A RELAXING RETREAT

Ali wanted Citadelle to have a space where she could get away and relax once the kids were asleep. So, we took out the shower in the downstairs bathroom, installed a luxurious tub, and retiled the walls to create a fresh, spa-like retreat.

INDOOR LUXURIES, OUTSIDE

Citadelle had an amazing backyard, but her family had trouble figuring out how to get the most use out of it. Since she loves to host family and friends, we created an outside kitchen and living room to make it easier to keep the party going, wherever she was. With the covered pergola, her guests can enjoy the outdoors without worrying about rain or intense sun.
