Disney 4.5-Ft. LED Zero

Skelly gets the headlines, but his dog might be the better buy. This five-foot Doberman skeleton made our list of the best Home Depot Halloween decorations, and he’s the piece that makes a yard look like a full scene instead of a single prop.

His best trick is his eyes: LifeEyes LCD displays that blink and shift between eight designs, from fiery flames to glowing hearts, so he can look menacing or weirdly sweet depending on your mood. A remote handles the switching, and his poseable mouth lets you set him mid-snarl or mid-pant.

Practically speaking, he’s built for real yards — a durable metal frame, ground stakes, and a built-in timer that runs six hours on, 18 hours off, so you’re not fiddling with him nightly. He works indoors or out, and one person can assemble him in about half an hour. Plug him in, or drop in four C batteries.

Owners get creative with him, too: one even 3D-printed a custom collar for him.

At $199, he’s the sidekick that makes the whole display.
