While Stephanie (who goes by Ephie) lived in one home growing up, Brian moved around a lot as a kid. Together, the two have moved six times since they started dating! Once this couple had two kids of their own, though, they were ready to put down roots.

They loved their house (just steps away from Ephie’s mom), but it was an historical home, which posed lots of daunting challenges when it came to renovating. They sought out our help to completely reimagine and reconfigure the back part of the house.

Design Highlights
Bigger and Better

Ephie’s biggest dream was to have a kitchen island with seating for the kids, so we made sure to install one that could live up to all her fantasies. After we moved the kitchen to the front of the house, it now has more than enough space for the family to cook and chat together.

A Cozy Corner

We moved the kid’s den to where the old kitchen used to be, taking advantage of its smaller size to create a warm and cozy hangout. With plenty of built-ins for storage, the kids are gonna love it so much, they might not allow Brian and Ephie back in.

Something Old, Something New

The cabinets in the laundry room had great bones, so we repainted them a color that better suited their style. Plus, with the uniform hardwood floors and new appliances, the space is now as beautiful and functional as the rest of the house.
