Property Brothers: Forever Home – Season 7, Episode 15
Ditching the Deadzones: Dan & Brianne
Dan and Brianne purchased a ranch-style house in Pasadena seven years ago. It was the only home their two young children had ever known and held many precious family memories. While the backyard was beautiful, the layout wasn’t functional.

Dan and Brianne called us to help them maximize their use of space. We improved the flow from their entry straight through to the living, dining, and kitchen areas so that their house can become the forever home Dan and Brianne envisioned.

Movie Night Magic
A mirror wall can be helpful if you’re looking to get into ballet, but not if you’re trying to kick back and enjoy some TV. Removing the mirrors gave us room to install custom built-ins for their media center.

Have a Seat
Before, the breakfast bar was located so close to the stovetop, Brianne had to constantly worry about curious fingers getting burned. We installed a big, beautiful kitchen island that gives the family plenty of seating… far away from the flames.

Dining Delights
We flipped the kitchen and dining room to tuck the latter away in the back of the house. This gives it a more intimate feel without sacrificing any of the great sightlines the family has now.
